The CDs are being pressed (or burned or whatever they do) as I write this! The packaging features some 
beautiful artwork by Blacksheep Studios. I will be hosting a CD release party at the Beat Niq Jazz & Social 
Club in Calgary on Feb. 11, 2010. I hope to see everyone there!

The final, mastered, CD is here! Now I just need to get the artwork done and send it off for duplication!

Morgan McKee (of McKee Music and Sound) and I have finished the last of the mixes for my upcoming CD. It
will be mastered by Michael Fossenkemper at TurtleTone Studio over the next few weeks (Fossenkemper has 
also mastered CDs by Vijay Iyer and Medeski Martin and Wood). I'm looking forward to hearing the finished
product.

Today, I went into the studio with Tyler Reimer, Jeff McGregor, and Simon Fisk, and recorded the main
set of tracks for my first CD. All of the guitar, saxophone, bass and drum set performances you will hear
on the CD were recorded live off the floor today between 10:45am and 8:30pm. With any luck, some of the 
live aspects of the performances will come through on the finished recording.

This is a just quick heads-up to anyone who was planning on attending the July 15, or July 29 
shows at the Redstone.
Starting on July 1, the Redstone will no longer be having Jazz on Wednesday nights. My shows on 
July 15 and July 29 are therefore cancelled. However, the Redstone has booked me with Andrea Curry 
for a show on Saturday, July 25.
This decision was made at a level higher up than the one I usually deal with (a number of staff
have commented that they liked having Jazz music there on Wednesdays). Nonetheless, if you happen 
to be at the Redstone, please feel free to say something if you enjoyed listening Jazz music there 
on Wednesday nights (especially if you happen to know the owners).

It's been a long process and a steep learning curve, but it seems like everything's
